YAMATHON INTRODUCTION

The Yamathon is a fundraising challenge where teams of three or four people compete to walk or run through Tokyo, visiting all 29 stations of the famous JR Yamanote train line in under 12 hours. Teams can also choose to do a half-Yamathon, finishing at Mejiro Station.

  • Fundraising event for a wonderful charity.
  • 100% of your team registration fee going to Yokohama Children’s Hospice Project.
  • Option of a half-Yamathon, finishing at JR Mejiro Station.
  • Teams must visit all 30 stations of JR Yamanote Line.
  • Teams must take a photo at every station.
  • Navigational challenge – be creative and take shortcuts to each station.
  • No set course. Basic directions are provided to all participants.
  • Start/finish venue is only 3 minutes walk from Tokyo Station.
